Chrotta / Rotta / CRWHT
V některých zemích se dodnes tu a tam hraje na crwht (čte se kchrjút, někdy komoleno a počeštěno jako chrotta nebo rotta), často uváděný jako typický keltský nástroj. Je to kříženec mezi lyrou a fidulou, resp. nejspíš jde o předchůdce fiduly. Většinou má dvě dvousborové struny laděné v kvintě (d - a nebo c -g), někdy i spodní bordun laděný o oktávu níž. Známe ho někdy od 6. století, o něco později máme citováno, že se na něj střídavě hrálo prsty a střídavě smyčcem. Ale samotný původ smyčce je téměř jistě z blízkého východu, ačkoli potkáte keltofily, kteří vás budou přesvědčovat o tom, že na něj přišli geniální Keltové).

By the way : Chrotta and Crwht is the same - but: The Rotte is a harp like instrument with the body under the strings. Like a Psalter.
